The channel has also been criticized and called sexist due to the main character usually being a girl and almost never a boy. Despite this, their channel continues to grow and they insist that the stories that they upload are from real people. MSA has been criticized by people due to many of their stories being exaggerated, outlandish, unrealistic, absurd, and possibly even fake. The difference between Storybooth and MSA is that Storybooth's stories are proven to be real, as they have a website to submit stories for them to be animated and uploaded and they don't use voice actors, while MSA isn't known to have a website to submit stories, they use a variety style of animation instead of sticking to the same animation and the voices of the narrators are presumably voice-acted.Ĭontroversy Potentially Fake Stories Since then, MSA along with other channels such as Share My Story, Dory Story, and ACTUALLY HAPPENED began appearing. The channel was made after the success of Storybooth, another YouTube channel that uploads animated stories. The stories usually contain topics such as issues with relatives or school, going from poor to rich, becoming famous on social media and more. The stories are often narrated by female voice Actors aka the main character of the stories (usually females).
